Privacy Policy
Saturnin is a desktop application that records, transcribes and summarises meetings. It runs on your own computer. This policy describes what the app does with your data and the only cases in which anything leaves your machine.
1. Who we are
Saturnin is made by More.is.More s.r.o., registered seatPernerova 635/57, 186 00 Praha 8, Czechia, ID No. (IČO): 05210275. You can reach us at info@moreismore.cz.
We are the data controller for the Saturnin brain transcription service where you use an endpoint operated by us (see section 3). Everything the app keeps on your own computer is under your control; we have no access to it.
2. Your recordings and notes stay on your computer
- Audio is recorded locally and written to a recordings folder on your machine — on macOS
~/Movies/saturnin-recordingsby default. You can change the folder in the app. - Meetings, transcripts and summaries are stored in a local SQLite database in the app’s data directory — on macOS
~/Library/Application Support/cz.moreismore.saturnin/. - Deleting the meeting in the app removes it from the database; removing the app’s data directory, its WebKit storage folder and the recordings folder removes everything the app stored. On macOS those locations are:

3. Transcription
By default, speech is transcribed on your device by a local whisper.cpp model. No audio and no transcript leaves your computer.
You can instead point the app at a Saturnin brain: either the Saturnin API hosted by More.is.More, or a brain you run yourself on your own computer or network. When a brain endpoint is configured, audio is sent to it — in chunks while you record, and as a whole audio file for the import and “quality re-pass” feature — over HTTPS (or over your own network when you self-host). The brain processes the audio in memory, returns the transcript together with anonymous speaker clusters, and writes nothing to disk. The audio is discarded the moment it has been transcribed. For live transcription while you record, the brain then keeps nothing at all once the response is sent. After a whole-file re-pass, the brain keeps the transcript and the speaker vectors in memory for up to six hours, or until the app deletes them (the app deletes them when a pass is cancelled, superseded or fails, and when you delete the meeting), and then discards them. Nothing is written to disk.
The brain returns anonymous clusters only; giving a speaker a name happens in the app on your computer. Which endpoint is used is shown, and can be changed or removed, inSettings → Transcription.
4. Summaries
By default summaries are generated on your device by a local Gemma model, run through the helper bundled with the app or through a local Ollama installation. Nothing leaves your computer.
If you select an external provider in Settings → Summary — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Groq or OpenRouter — the transcript being summarised is sent to that provider under your own API key, and that provider’s privacy terms apply to it.
5. Calendar
If you add an ICS calendar URL, the app fetches that URL periodically so it can show your upcoming meetings. That fetch is the only traffic: no recording, transcript or summary is sent to the calendar provider.
6. Model downloads
Speech and summary models are downloaded on demand from public model-hosting servers (such as Hugging Face and GitHub release downloads). Those servers see the download request coming from your computer, as they would for any file download. None of your content is sent with it.
7. Permissions on your computer
macOS asks you for microphone access, and for screen-recording permission when you record system audio — that is how macOS grants system-audio capture. Both are used only to record the meeting you start.
8. What Saturnin does not do
- No analytics and no usage tracking.
- No telemetry and no crash reporting.
- No user accounts and no sign-in.
- No advertising and no profiling.
- No cookies — Saturnin is a desktop application, not a website. The page you are reading is part of the More.is.More website, which has its own Cookies Policy.
- Build-tool telemetry (Next.js) is disabled in the app’s build.
9. Third-party components
Saturnin is built on open-source software, including the Meetily-Local project it is forked from. The components and their licences are listed in the NOTICE file shipped with the app.
10. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) you have the right of access to your personal data, and the rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.
Because your data stays on your computer, you exercise these rights directly in the app: you can read, export and delete your meetings, transcripts and recordings yourself, and deleting them deletes them. The Saturnin brain that we operate retains nothing once a transcription request has been answered, apart from a whole-file re-pass result: that stays in its memory for up to six hours, or until the app deletes it (which the app does when a pass is cancelled, superseded or fails, and when you delete the meeting). 11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
