The Brief

Let visitors touch a century of change, underground and offline.

The Hanička fortress needed a modern way to tell its history: one visitors could explore by hand, watching the site change across a century.

The catch was the setting. The narration had to play deep in bunkers with no internet or mobile signal, and reach every visitor, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The Approach

A screen you drive by touch, and a guide that needs no signal.

We built a touch projection driven by ToF sensors. Visitors press the screen to dissolve an archival photo into its present-day view, peeling one era back to reveal the next.

Alongside it runs the Virtual Interpreter, an offline-first audio guide reached by QR code: visitors download it above ground, then play it flawlessly underground. It speaks four languages and carries a full transcript on every track for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors, all managed from an admin system that switches between self-service and guided modes.

The Impact

History that moves under your fingertips.

Visitors peel back an aerial map to reveal the bunker’s architecture, or align a modern photo with its historical vantage to open a window through time. They explore at their own pace, in their own language, with or without a signal.
